2015-2016 Track Archive

The 2015-2016 Pirate Track Teams completed the year with a strong showing at both the Varsity and JV levels. The Boys Team finished as District 15-5A champs, defeating second place Texas High by a 23 point margin, 141-118. From there, the boys went on to be 15/16 5A Area Champions, sending 15 boys and finishing 28 points ahead of second place Nacogdoches, 98-70. In addition, 10 boys competed at Regionals, where the Pirates finished 9th among 64 teams. In 9 meets, the boys achieved 7 top three finishes, including 7 first place finishes. 

The Girls Team finished 4th overall at the 15-5A District Meet and 3rd overall at the 15/16 5A Area Meet, sending 13 girls. 12 girls were sent to Regionals, as the girls wrapped up a season that included 4 top 3 finishes in 9 meets.

At the JV level, the boys had multiple top 3 finishes, top point man awards and individual silver and gold medals. The girls achieved multiple overall 1st place team trophies, gold relay finishes, and top point girl awards.
