Coach Ellis is our Strength & Conditioning Director and is in his 19th year coaching at the High School and Collegiate level.  He holds a Master of Education Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Tyler.  He is certified as a Sports Performance Coach by USA Weightlifting, Performance Enhancing Specialist by the National Academy of Sports Medicine, High School Strength Coach Certified by the National High School Strength Coaches Association, Safe Sport Certified and has completed the USADA Coach’s Advantage Program.  Coach Ellis is a member of the National High School Strength Coaches Association where he has been nominated as NHSSCA Coach of the Year in 2020 and 2022.  Ellis is also a member of the National Strength & Conditioning Association.  He played baseball at Tyler Junior College and the University of Arkansas at Monticello.  He returned to coach at Tyler Junior College after graduation from UAM and won a National Championship in 2007 as an assistant coach.  Ellis has been a Strength & Conditioning Director at Henderson ISD, Brownsboro ISD, and also Frankston ISD.  He will be teaching Exercise Science for Pine Tree High School.  Coach Ellis and his wife Allison have a 16 year old daughter named Cadence, a 7 year old son named Cannon and a baby girl named Faith born in October of 2024.
