Coach Voltaireus Newsome proudly serves Pine Tree ISD as the Head Track & Field Coordinator, Assistant Football Coach, and Assistant Basketball Coach. He is passionate about using athletics as a platform to develop young people both on and off the field of competition.


Coach Newsome believes that successful athletic programs are built on discipline, accountability, hard work, consistency, and relationships. His goal is not only to help student-athletes become better competitors, but also to help them develop the character, confidence, and work ethic needed to be successful in life.

As Head Track & Field Coordinator, Coach Newsome is committed to building a strong and unified program throughout Pine Tree ISD. His vision is to create a culture where student-athletes understand that success comes from preparation, commitment, and being willing to work for something bigger than themselves.

Coach Newsome is proud to be a Pine Tree Pirate and looks forward to continuing to build relationships with students, families, coaches, and the Pine Tree community while helping student-athletes reach their full potential.
