Coach Nancy Shelton is a proud graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where she competed in track and field for four years and earned eight WAC Conference championships. She has been involved in summer track since the age of 14 and is excited to begin her first season coaching the boys’ and girls’ hurdles at Pine Tree High School.

Coach Shelton has been married to her husband, Khalil Black, for four years. Khalil is a proud Pine Tree alumnus and Pine Tree ISD employee. Together they have a 9-year-old son, Boston, who hopes to one day become a Pine Tree track athlete. Coach Shelton looks forward to helping Pine Tree’s student-athletes grow, compete, and reach their full potential.
