Head Football Coach www.pinetreefootball.com Coach Lane and his wife Jamie have two sons, Trey (6) who attends Pine Tree Primary and Tyler (2). Coach Lane comes to Pine Tree from Gilmer ISD where he was their passing game coordinator. He has also coached at Arp, Gladewater and Waskom. Coach Lane helped lead the Gilmer football team to be State Champions in 2014, a season where they scored 950 points (2nd most all time in Texas High School football). They were State semi-finalist in 2015 and State finalist in 2012. He also helped coach the track team to a State Championship in 2015. [email protected] |

Brandon BoyceJunior High Track
High School Football Coach Boyce will be coaching JH track along with HS football and will be teaching on our PACE campus. He and his wife Selena have an 8 month old daughter named Cassidy. In 2006 Coach Boyce was the UIL Region II-AAA high jump champion, UIL State track & field 3-A high jump – 5th place and UIL district track champ. He was also a two year varsity basketball starter. Matthew BryantCoach Bryant is from Gilmer, TX. He attended the University of Texas at Tyler and earned a Bachelors of Science, majoring in History with a minor in Social Studies. Coach Bryant has six years coaching experience and this is his third year at Pine Tree. His experience includes an internship with Grace Community School in Tyler (2008-09), Brownsboro (2010-11), and Commerce (2012-13). Coach Bryant has been married to his wife Amanda for 6 years and they have a 3 year old daughter named Elizabeth and and 20 month old son named Turner. He likes to spend time with his family and likes to hunt and fish as much as he can. He absolutely loves coaching and the game of football; it provides a wonderful opportunity for many of our young men.

Coach Burns is originally from Pittsburg, TX. He attended Stephen F. Austin State University and has a Bachelors of Science degree. Coach Burns has 18 years coaching experience, with 15 of those at Pine Tree. His experience includes various positions/sports from JH to HS at Union Grove (2007-2010) and two stints at Pine Tree (1999-2007 & 2010-present). She graduated from LeTourneau University in 2013 and has her B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in mathematics, education and kinesiology. Candee CollinsHead Girls Golf Coach
www.pinetreegolfteam.com Coach Candee Collins is beginning her 31st year of teaching and coaching at Pine Tree High School. She teaches Senior level United States Government, and Dual Credit United States History. She is an adjunct instructor for Kilgore College. She holds a BA from Oklahoma Baptist University and MS from The University of Oklahoma. She has almost 36 years of experience in Oklahoma and Texas. The Pine Tree program has had many quality teams and individuals throughout its 25 year history. During this time the program has compiled 18 District Championships, including 14 consecutive titles. In the 24 years Collins has been at the helm, the team has qualified for 20 Regional tournaments. From 1993-1996, teams either won or finished second in the Regional Tournament to advance to the Elite Eight of the 4-A State Tournament in Austin, with the best finish of 4th in 1995. Several individuals throughout the years have gained the same recognition and advanced to the State Tournament competing as medalists, finishing no less than 25th overall. Numerous players have competed at the next level in outstanding junior college and NAIA programs. She is most proud of the young women each one has become; wives, moms, teachers, physical therapists, doctors, camp directors, accountants, and business owners. Some former players are also tied to the game of golf through their current professions as golf course/landscape architects, golf apparel buyers and PGA instructors. Collins still has relationships with her former players and each still play the game. Candee and her husband Greg, have been married 31 years. Greg, a former newspaper editor, is now entering his second year of teaching as the Journalism/Yearbook Advisor at Pine Tree. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University. Both are active members of First Baptist, Kilgore - Candee in the choir and Praise Team, and Greg as a deacon and part of the audio/TV ministry. Coach Hawkins has been married to his wife Deidre for 24 years and their daughter Debra (17) is a senior at PT High School. Their son Victor (21) also graduated from Pine Tree. She played at Paris Junior College where she was named 1st Team TEAC All – Conference and a NJCAA Academic All American. She then played for UT Pan American (now University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) where she was named 1st team all conference. She received her B.S. in Business Education from University of North Texas in 1996. She currently teaches World History Advanced Placement and U.S. History at Pine Tree High School. She enjoys basketball and history, of course, and spending time with her family. She hopes to have a positive impact on those whom she has had the honor of teaching and coaching. He spent two years his Alma Mater (Pine Tree) assisting in basketball, and two at Spring Hill where he assisted in Football, Basketball and was the Head Golf Coach. He is a 2000 graduate of Pine Tree and played as a member of the 1998-99 Regional Finalist and 1999-2000 Bi District Champions. After High School, Coach Kraus attended Stephen F. Austin State University and received a B.S. in Kinesiology in 2004. He currently teaches Special Education / Inclusion at Pine Tree High School for his 2nd year. Football Coach Lewis was born in Houston, TX, and is a graduate of University of Nevada Las Vagas (UNLV). He and his wife Nekeshia have two children, Kollin (11) and Lanlestyn (7). Coach Lewis will be coaching varsity football and boys basketball for Pine Tree and previously coached at Gladewater HS. While there, Coach Lewis led the boys basketball team to become district champs (2015-16) and was named 16-4A Coach of the Year. They are the proud parents of two Pine Tree graduates: Jessica (TCU Graduate) and Nathan (Vanderbilt Graduate). The Los also have two wonderful grand kids: Alexander and Lucy Hermann. This will be his thirteenth season at Pine Tree and he holds a District record of 143-31-16 and 223-71-36 overall. Prior to arriving at Pine Tree in 2004, Coach Lo, a national “A” licensed coach, held head coaching positions at Hallsville High School and Trinity School of Texas. He has been actively involved as a coach in the Olympic Development Program, a national identification and development program for the country's top players in many years guiding teams to ODP National Championship in 2007 and 2008. Coach Lo has also spent time working with local youth through the Elite Soccer Club as a head coach and Director of Coaching. Further, he has been mentoring many of today's up-and-coming soccer coaches in US National Coaching Education Program as a North Texas State Soccer Association coaching instructor for nearly 20 years. Garrett MethvinCoach Methvin graduated with honors from Spring Hill High School in 2009. He and his wife Leighchele and three children, Elijah (4), Lilly (3) and Adileigh (1). He played baseball at the University of Arkansas before transferring to LeTourneau University in the fall of 2010 where he finished his career. While at LeTourneau he received numerous honors and awards and helped them win its first ever ASC Championship in any sport. He graduated from LeTourneau with a 3.9 GPA majoring in Kinesiology and is currently working on his Masters in Education. He has coached baseball the last two years at Central Heights High School in Nacogdoches, TX. Coach Methvin has been a Youth Pastor the last 3 years at New Heights Church in Longview. He feels extremely blessed and is excited God has opened the door for him to be back in his home town. Coach Methvin is looking forward to a great year, and is thankful for the opportunity presented here at Pine Tree.

Track Coach Offermann is from New Braunfels, TX and graduated from New Braunfels Canyon High School in 1996. He has three daughters Mickayla (14), Haylee (11), and Madyson (8). This is his first year coaching and first year at Pine Tree, after spending seventeen years active duty in the Air Force. Eleven years enlisted and six years as a commissioned officer; separated as a captain; deployed to – Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Italy and Germany. Coach Offermann received his bachelor’s degree from Park University in social psychology (3.94 GPA); and received his master’s degree from American Military University in sports management (3.97 GPA).
